Specialty Beers Exploding in the Taproom!!

photo-12

Over the last year we’ve brewed well over 100 different beers both experimental, core and one-offs. Many of them have become fan favorites and our locals and weekend visitors ask for growlers fills. Of course when you’re looking at a single keg, growler fills are impossible but we’ve heard your calls and requests and are trying to bring more specialty growler fills to the taproom.

Our first in this excursion is the DEATH BY HOPS Double IPA. Utilizing our 15bbl fermentor, we’ve created a beer that will have extremely limited distribution. In fact, we’re sending out only 8 kegs into the L.A. market. Of course, not every one of our best accounts can get this beer(and we have many) but the limited few that we’ve approached have promised to tap it this weekend for ultimate freshness. Here’s a list of the locations you can find the Death By Hops, assuming you don’t come directly to the source…our taproom. We’ve attended to make it so that you’ll be able to find it spread nicely across L.A.

Growler fills, full pours and tasters still available in our taproom.

And while we have your attention, next up in the specialty taproom release and growler fill beer line up is WEIRD BEER, Belgian Blonde with herbs and spices! To add even more complexity to this spiced beer than the last time, Porter is adding some new fresh herbs straight from the local Torrrance farmers market. We originally poured this beer in the taproom when we opened a year ago and it had a constant and loyal fan following. If you have yet to try it, believe us, it’s a keeper!

We should be brewing WEIRD BEER next week, so keep your eyes on our Facebook and mailing list for the official release.  It’s one of our most food friendly beers and will continue to satisfy your food pairing needs! Growler Fills will be available.

Keep an eye out for future taproom and growler release beers! We’re trying to up the ante and get you some awesome beers to take home and share with friends and family. Fingers crossed for Hoptango IPA and a fruited Saison sooooooon.

Cheers!

We’re finally up and running with our bottles. As I type we are labeling and filling Coffee Porter for the first time! The clinking is like music to my ears. The Nothing bottles will be getting their final dressings (labels) today or tomorrow and we’ll be ready just in time for our June 7th release!

You’ll see that we’ve imbued the same amount of personality into our labels as we have our beer names and the creativity of our recipes. Our core brands will each feature “characters” that resonate with the beer’s name and as our first core brand to launch, Coffee Porter does not disappoint! This little guy is known as The Caffeinated Beer Bot. We hope you’ll spend some time with this stellar label and really get to know him!

Our first special release in a bottle is The Nothing. Although we don’t want to get sued by a certain movie production company, our label offers a couple nods to one of our favorite childhood movies. This is in a funny way a huge moment for us, The Nothing accurately reflects our personal (and brand) quirkiness and playfulness as well as the proper amount of sophistication necessary for such a beautifully crafted beer as this dark Double Chocolate Imperial Stout.
